This will be an interactive and educational program discussing:
- The five most common causes for ACL tears how to prevent them.
- The biomechanics of jump and how poor form can cause a tear.
- How a strong core effects injury prevention, vertical leap, and reaction time.
- What coaches can do at every practice to decrease the potential for injury and at the same time improving vertical leap and reaction time.
- How the wrong shoe can increase rotational shear and increase risk of a tear.
- Genetic causes: Are your hip and knee alignment setting you up for injury?
- What other injuries can be warning signs leading up to a tear.
- Why can braces make you more prone to an injury?
** There will be an interactive demonstration of prevention exercises as well as proper cutting and jumping technique. Please wear proper attire if you’d like to participate.
