Play ball… Running Faster, hitting harder, and throwing better.

This will be an interactive and educational program discussing:
- The 5 most common throwing injuries
- Preventing shoulder/elbow injuries in pitchers
- Improving base running speed and foot turn over
- Injury prevention training techniques
- The biomechanics of throwing how to improve form, speed, and accuracy
- Training principles…plyos, weight lifting, proprioceptive work
- The importance of speed work, stabilization, and stretching
- Hip mobility and glut strength—how it effects your ability to hit and throw
- Core programs to improve hitting and throwing power
Presenters:
Alyssa Subbert, PT, CSCS, FAFS, FMR, CEAS, CFCE, NG360 GPS – Specializes in the biomechanical evaluation of sport.
Nathan Teut—Assistant GM for the I-Cubs, fourth round selection in the draft out of Iowa State University who went on to play 5 seasons with the Chicago Cubs organization and then traded to the Marlins—spent 8 years as a pitcher in MLB/MiLB.
Who should attend:
Parents, coaches, players (baseball or softball) at all levels and ages who want a better understanding of the biomechanics of baseball and learn how to get faster, stronger, and stay injury free.
There will be a drill session for exercises so please dress accordingly if you’d like to participate.
